Rainy Day Love Story in Central Park

I always like to say that my couples are the best!  And they are – because they never disappoint!

Last week, NYC spring decided to finish the season with a downpour and I was preparing to get an email about a shoot reschedule, but to my surprise it was quite the opposite! I got a confirmation that we are still shooting if i’m up for it, and of course I was! After documenting hurricane Sandy for two days a few years back I got confident in my skill to wrap the camera in tape and garbage bags if need be *laughs*

So I’ve honestly been dying to find a couple who would be willing to shoot a love story in the rain, just to show that not only it is doable, but also very rewarding. The light is amazing and a challenge is always fun!

Find a location where you can have natural light, but be protected from the rain and easily go outside too. If the wind is strong I suggest taking an assistant to hold an umbrella, but I prefer to work solo so had to manage myself. Maybe i’ll invest in one of those silly umbrella hats for the future hehe))))))
